Our temperature monitoring apps for the ZR5 Internet of Anything system give customers better visibility, clearer alert messages and more flexible alarm handling.
Temperature data is logged for 6 months and can be downloaded in CSV format, making it easy to review temperature history and investigate overheating events.

Average Temperature Monitoring App
This app combines multiple temperature sensors into one calculated average temperature reading.
It is useful where a server room has several sensors in different positions, such as near the air conditioning unit, near the server rack, by the door, or in a warmer corner of the room.
Instead of relying on one sensor, the system calculates an average temperature and generates alerts from that combined reading.

Multi-Level Temperature Alarm App
This app allows each server room temperature sensor to have several alarm levels instead of just one high and one low limit.
For example, a customer can set a warning level, a serious alarm level and a critical alarm level. Each level can have its own message, so the alert tells the customer how serious the situation is.
This is ideal for server rooms because it allows early warning before the temperature becomes critical.

Example server room setup
A customer has several 1-Wire temperature sensors installed around a server room. One sensor is near the air conditioning outlet, one is near the main server rack, and another is near the door.
The average monitoring app gives a balanced overall room temperature, while the multi-level alarm app provides staged alerts as the temperature rises.

What’s included in the kit?
The standard Server Room Temperature Monitoring Kit includes the controller, wired temperature probes, a wireless temperature and humidity sensor, mains power supply and backup battery. It is designed to give reliable alerts even if the server room is unattended or the site loses power.
4 x Wired Temperature Probes
Includes four 5m long 1-Wire temperature probes for monitoring different areas of the server room, such as racks, doorways, air conditioning outlets and warmer corners.
Supports up to 8 wired temperature probes per system.
Wireless Temperature & Humidity Sensor
Includes one Sonoff wireless temperature and humidity sensor with up to 5 year battery life, ideal for monitoring room conditions without extra cabling.
Supports up to 48 compatible wireless sensors per system.
Water Leak Detector
Includes a water leak detector for detecting leaks from air conditioning units, pipework, tanks or other water sources near server room equipment.
Ideal for server rooms, comms rooms and plant rooms where water damage could cause serious disruption.
Mains Power Supply with Battery Backup
Supplied with an IP65 Dycon D-1542-W mains power supply and backup battery, helping the system continue operating during short power interruptions.
Includes 1.2Ah 12V SLA backup battery.
ZR5 Internet of Anything Controller
The ZR5 controller provides cellular connectivity, cloud monitoring, alerts, data logging and support for customisable monitoring apps.
Sends SMS, call and email alerts when configured limits are exceeded.

The system uses built-in cellular connectivity, so there is no need for Wi-Fi or a customer-supplied SIM card.
£50 every 5 years
Cellular connectivity is renewed every 5 years for a simple fixed fee.
£0.10 per SMS or call
SMS and voice call alerts are charged at a flat rate of £0.10 each, worldwide.
Email alerts and portal access can also be used for monitoring and notification.
