4G/5G Dial-to-Open Gate and Garage Opener

Our Dial-to-Open units allow visitors to open your electric gate, roller shutter or garage door simply by dialling a telephone number. Once the number of the caller has been identified, the call is rejected and the barrier is opened. As the call is rejected it does not cost the caller anything.

For most users the choice comes down to which way is easiest to manage the system. Whilst both can be programmed by SMS and the iot-portal.com, it's probably easier to manage the 4G SIM free unit with just a few SMS messages if you only have a couple of permanent users. You can also set these systems to open when anyone calls the number.

If you plan to constantly change the user database and have a lot if users, the IoT cloud based gate opener is more suitable. It is also easier to keep track of topping up the system as it's a simple online payment once a year.

The 4G SIM Free unit is a traditional single network mobile phone SIM based gate opener. It has been tested for working 4G calling on all UK and Eire networks including Vodafone (other 4G gate openers generally will not work on Vodafone after the 2G shutdown).

The IoT version handles the calls in the cloud with the controller able to use any network including the IoT bands rolled out during the 5G mast upgrades (LTE-M and NB-IoT). The SIM is already soldered onto the gate opener circuit board. The annual SIM fee of £30 including VAT is payable via the iot-portal on a PAYG basis (5G IoT version only). 1st year included in price. Top up links are emailed and sent by SMS a month before, when due and after the expiry date.

The video explains how cheap Chinese gate openers like the '4G' RTU5024 and G202 Plus will not work after the 2G/3G shut down.
